Do expect to get repped back?

do you expect a friendship to start forming?

Do you feel you give out more rep then you get back?

When you get repped dpes the thought even cross your mindto go rep the poster that repped you?

Do expect to get repped back? No, but it's nice. OK, I'll confess; I'm a rep whore.

do you expect a friendship to start forming? Friends first, then candlelight dinners and moonlit walks on the beach.

Do you feel you give out more rep then you get back? I always give more than I receive.

See responses. But my pet peeve is someone who reps you, expects immediate rep back, then neg reps when that doesn't happen. Sometimes it takes me a week to return rep. We're limited to 5 in a 24-hr period and I try to divide up mine between returning rep and repping new posts. Often I read posts I normally would rep, but can't do so because I'm already out. And then I have a hard time remembering/finding that post the next day.

I don't expect rep-back. It happens a lot, but I don't think it should be expected. Rep should be given for a post you like for whatever reason, imo.

Giving pos rep is like giving someone a compliment. They like it, it makes them feel good, they like that you like them and make them feel good so they have positive feelings for you. Call it a friendship I guess.

I think I get and receive about the same amount.

When someone reps me I usually click to see the post they repped. A lot of times they post something in the same thread and yeah, their post has a higher than average chance of getting repped by me.

I often rep the same people over and over but that's because I only read posts from a few posters. Make me laugh and I'll give rep. Bring something interesting and I'll rep. Post the same boring **** over and over and I likely won't read your posts.

I never expect to have reciprocal rep but I'm not above retaliatory neg rep, especially if it's from some Clown taking one of my posts seriously. I also will throw neg rep at someone who posts the same stupidity over and over about jailhouse tats.

I rarely get rep'd back, so I've been trained not to expect it. I don't automatically rep back either, but I do keep those who rep me in mind when handing out reps for good posts.

Really though, I rarely give rep. I never expect to GET rep. I feel like this is a trick question.

I don't usually expect anything back. People get my rep cuz I think they deserve it. Though I will rep back people of "large rep quantities" after they rep me to say thanks, and I'll sometimes rep a person to sort of say "we cool" after an intense or antagonistic argument.

I rep if I particularly like a post. Sometimes because I agree, sometimes because I am amused.

But I never expect rep in return.

I have pos repped someone who neg repped me (more than once) just to get the good juju flowing in the right direction.

You are to be commended for taking the high road. I rarely gave out neg reps and stopped altogether many months ago. Previously, I had just done it in retaliation or in response to something incredibly offensive. I've been tempted a few times lately (and I'm sure you can probably guess by whom and for what types of posts). But thus far, I'm trying to keep to my policy of not using neg rep.
