What's new

Where are the fanz at?

In short, people don't want to actually watch a team rebuild. That's what's wrong with people who want the team to ditch the vets and play the rookies, nobody wants to watch. Guess they didn't get the memo that the team would fight like rabid dogs and play to win every game. As has been said, it'll pick up when it becomes apparent that the Jazz are in a playoff race, like usual.

I went to the Grizzlies game and the arena seemed full. I haven't looked it up, but it appears that the weekend games have had good attendance.

Despite what the government says, we are still in a recession and many people have to cut back.

They funny thing is that the Jazz are #10 on average home attendance.

They are #6 on road attendance, #5 on overall attendance and #15 on total attendance. To me that looks more like the tickets are being bought and just not used.

I think the lower attendance is due to the lock-out. I have several friends who get season tickets, but didn't this year because of the compressed schedule. Having this meany games in a week is tough to go to all the games. I also think that when you have a game against the Cavs and the next night against the Lakers, most would choose to go to the Lakers.

This was a game that the Fanzz stores had tons of tickets for their $100 promotion. From the looks of it last night most of those tickets are still in the stores.
