Where does Hill/Hood/Hayward rank?

Where do the 3 H's rank in the league for the best 1-3 starting lineup?

Clearly Warriors and Cavs are the best in this category but I think the Jazz are 3rd. Hill and Hayward have only played 6 games together so it's still a small sample size. But hard to argue any other team could displace them as the 3rd best. (Maybe Raptors? Lowry, DeRozan, Carrol?)

What sayest thou?

I agree.
Hayward = derozan (maybe even a little better.
Hill a little better than Lowry.
Hood a little better than carroll.
Clean sweep.
Call me a homer 1,000 times.

Are we a better team than they are? If they are better or the same that means they are much better at the PF and Center positions if we are better at those three spots.

I think Hayward is more versatile than DeRozan but DeRozan is a better scorer. They are in the same tier of player to me.
Lowry is a better player than Hill. It is not a huge gap but Lowry is better.
I would take Hood over Carroll all day unless Hood has the ****s.

I would probably put Jazz third though as well. I think it is really close though with the Raptors and I am probably just a homer to put them ahead. I think an argument could be made for both Spurs and Rockets simply because they both have stars in one of the positions that are much better than any one person we have. I dont think either team would trade Harden or Kawhi for two of our players 1-3 and maybe not for all three.

The Jazz have a better team than the Raptors. Raptors just have the benefit of being in the east and have had health on their side.

When healthy, we might be. Toronto is very good in the box scores but they do alot of bum slaying (beating up on less opponents). They have lost 3/3 to the Cavs this year. Lost to 2/2 to Golden State, lost to Clips. Haven't played SA yet. Their best wins look to be against Houston, OKC, and us (hobbled).

Yes we are better than them.
I think Hayward is slightly better than demar.
We disagree on hill vs lowry. I think hill is better on offense and defense.
I think hood is better than carroll.
We haven't even talked about Gobert (better than their 5) or favors (better than their 4)

Burks, jj, ingles, lyles, diaw, mack, withey, X is certainly a better bench than theirs too.

The only one I question myself about is Hayward being better than derozan. Derozan is having a great year. He is averaging 27.4 ppg for **** sakes on 47% shooting from the field.

Lowry was off the charts when he heated up in the second half in our recent game against them. The play where he went up hard and came down from like 6 ft. onto his side was insane and he got up all beast-like and continued to throw down. Almost all of his points were in the second half I think.

I think Jazz are slightly better than the Raptors if we are healthy but that is just a guess and hopeful. Raptors have the best offense in the NBA, better than GS right now and a good defense #13. They also have done something in the playoffs. Jazz have yet to make it to the playoffs. Raptors in the playoffs beat Indiana, Heat and pushed the Cavs to game 6. That was last year where the East was pretty strong compared to the West.

I dont know how you can say they are better at all 5 positions and they have a better record and have made some serious noise in the playoffs. I think we have had bad luck with health but even if we stayed healthy we would have only won a few more games this season. We have been beat up during the easier part of our schedule and outside of a few games really fought hard. Raptors will most likely end up with the #1 seed in the East this year if they keep up this level of play based on all other stats and their schedule going forward.

I do think Favors and Gobert are better than their C and PF. Although closer with their C than PF. Hood is better but I dont see a way to put Hill ahead of Lowry. Hill has put up really efficient stats this year but he has hardly played and still Lowry is doing more for his team. They are the number 1 offense because of Lowry and DeRozan. I think a lineup of Lowry, DeRozan, Hood, Favors and Gobert with the depth we have behind them and our team style play and defense would be scary good. DeRozan would give us a really reliable scorer that Hayward is not. Lowry distributes the ball very well.

Hayward is scoring 22 ppg. He's hit 20+ pts the vast majority of games. I don't see how he's an unreliable scorer. But I'm with you overall. Lowry is probably better than Hill, and Derozan's value to the team is comparable to Hayward's. I think we're better as a team with Hill and Hayward than Lowry and Derozan. Hayward is a great passer and provides better spacing than Derozan, which gives more room for Gobert and Favors to operate. Also, Lowry is a very good defender.

I can point to 6 games I think the Jazz would have won if healthy.

v. Sactown
@ Charlotte
v. Miami
v. Chicago
v. Memphis
@ Denver

That would make the Jazz 26-7. Third in the west (only .5 behind SAS) or the #1 team in the east by a full game.

But the Jazz also won games they "shouldn't have" while dealing with all of those injuries. I don't think it's as simple as "if we're healthy, we would have beaten all of those lesser teams".

That is nice on paper. I think we would have won some of those but that is just a guess.

Teams lose to bad teams even when healthy. Collapses happen, teams get worn down or dont show up for games. We have had other players show up that might not in other games it is hard to predict.

Either way that puts us really close even if we won all of those to what the Raptors are. A couple games ahead of them but still pretty close. Right now they are a few games ahead but still pretty close. That means our teams are probably pretty close. If we are pretty close we cannot have better players at every position and a better bench.

We have a better record than them when both teams are healthy (and burks hasn't even played yet)
Check the stats this year for hill vs lowry.

Let us play in the east.

Hill has a very limited sample size, and he's outperforming his historical numbers by a mile (which one can argue is due to the Jazz system). Nonetheless, Lowry has better numbers with over 22 ppg on 50% 2pt shooting and 44% from the 3. He also dishes out 7.3 asp and grabs 5 rebounds.

If we are pretty close we cannot have better players at every position and a better bench.

That could totally be the case. If we are just a little tiny bit better at each position and play in a tougher conference.

I think Paul/Redick/whoever and Parker/Green/Leonard are arguably as good. Westbrook/Oladipo whoever too.

I wasn't arguing all that. Just that I think the Jazz team would be several wins better if healthy all season.

But it's all ifs up till now. We are about to find out.

They played very well in the East last year that was better than the West. Hill and Lowry are the same age check their stats for last year when you have a much better sample size. Also Lowry is still doing much more for his team this year than Hill is for us. Hill is very efficient but almost every other number Lowry is putting up better.

Also Raptors have lost 10 games this year. 2 of those are to GS, 3 of those are to the Cavs, that is 5. 4 of the other losses they were missing starters.
