Where will Trey Burke End Up

Best case scenario he's filler in a S&T this summer.

Trey will be bought out this summer. If he is smart, he will go sign with an uptempo team, say NY, where he can come off the bench, be a heat check guy. If he signs with the right system/coach, say Horny, he will play another 5-10 years as a backup PG. If he doesn't go to the right system, he will disappear in the night.

Misleading comparison. Easier to have higher efficiency at Neto's 17% usage (shooting a 3 when wide open) versus Burke's 25% being asked to provide scoring off the bench.

I agree with TB's benching, but more for his defensive liability.

We know the Jazz were trying to use him to get a first rounder, based on what DL said. So, now what? Where does Trey end up? Detroit seems to have been mentioned a lot. Atlanta? Philadelphia? Wherever, it seems like we are going to get peanuts, literally, for him. Can't even get a late first rounder in an uncertain and what appears to be a weak draft. He may end up overseas.

Sixers are building their future around Simmons and are desperate for floor spacers/ perimeter shooters. Desperate to show progress this year. TB for a Sixers second should work for both teams.

We should already know the answer to this because he should have been traded last year. How in the hell is he still on the team? I was all for Giannis that year. Drafting Burke felt like getting kicked in the nuts (much like drafting Burks over Kawhi two years earlier felt.)

Jazz blew it. It's time to cut bait and move on. At this point, I don't care what they get for him. He just needs to stop taking the roster space of someone who can be a part of the team's future.

Burke is an NBA player... we should have kept him in the rotation. Could have been a mildly intriguing asset. Now will be a salary dump. We will not buy him out.

So, your theory is that if we put him out there, and other teams see him playing like s**t, that will somehow enhance his value and he will become an "asset"? Mmmkay...

And while what you say is true, it's doesn't guarantee that neto and mack efficiency would go down with higher usage (macks usage went up A LOT when coming to the jazz from atlanta and his efficiency actually went up A LOT too?). It's a good hypothesis but far from fact.

We can only compare the actual stats we have and cannot extrapolate fantasy numbers based off usage hypothesis.

If you ask Neto to score more, this means he takes a higher percentage of difficult and contested shots. We agree it is a good hypothesis but it is an experiment that will never be run, so will remain a mystery forever.

Yes it's likely I think. Some players rise to the occasion though when given more responsibility. (Look at macks numbers last year with very very low usage in atl vs starting and playing a very big role with the jazz. It's shocking how much better he was when given a bigger offensive role)

I disagree. For his entire (albeit short) nba career he has been a small, unathletic chucker pg who doesn't get his teammates involved and plays poor defense.
And we gave up multiple lotto picks to get him. And handed him a starting job and tons of minutes and a coach who loved him. He had a bitchy parent that always talked ****. He posted inappropriate pictures online.

Some of that isn't his fault. All of it are reasons to not like him.

Only thing he did good was not cry when his starting job went away and his minutes ace role decreased. That's it.

He had some stretches of good play. Pretty much every player in the nba does if given minutes.

He sucks. Always has. His value to other teams sucks. Always has.
None of that would have changed imo no matter how many minutes quin would have undeservingly handed to him.

This might be another one of those agree to disagrees..... Though often when this happens between you and I, I don't feel very confident that I'm right and can totally understand where you are coming from. This isn't one of those times.

Still love your takes most all the time though.

This isn't correct go look at his assist percentages and asp numbers from his first to years he lead the team(especially his rookie season) he does get guys involved. I think Synder got it in his head to be a scorer and not a true PG where his talents and skillset lays.
