Randy Foye, Obvs.
I voted mo. But it was because he has bigger shoes to fill and his impact will be the greatest of the three. Marvin will appear to be a bigger impact (MaWill >> carroll et al) But Mo will have the bigger impact becuase if he's not a suitable replacement for Harris, there will be big issues.
Out of three new guys which will have the best impact on the Jazz next season?
Mo Williams-outside shooting/toughness
Marvin Williams-size, true SF, mid range game
Randy Foye-outside shooting, defense
Both averaged similar numbers in ppg.
Give your reasons for who you choose.
I don't think anyone ever suggested he was. But he's a solid shooter, which we need and actually wants to play in Utah. You can argue Mo = Devin. I'm ok with that...except for the fact that Harris' game is built on quickness and penetration. And those skills aren't quite what they used to be. On the other hand, Mo is a competent ball-handler who just needs to run the P&R or get the ball to Jefferson and wait at the arc for a 3 if it gets kicked back out. We also have another couple of players who are going to be playmakers/penetrators in Hayward and Burks. AS such even if Mo = Deron in terms of individual comparisons, Mo is a much better fit overall.people are talking like mo has a history of being a hard-nosed leader. where? he wasn't that in milwaukee, he wasn't that in cleveland, and he didn't even come close to that in LA. don't get me wrong, he'll keep defenses honest with his shot, but he's no chris paul.

Something tells me that you don't know the definition of the word "strive." I, on the other hand, think he will thrive, and that's why I voted for Marvin as well.Something tells me Marvin will strive here in a system. He wasn't really made for a ATL teams system that had seen a few coaches in his time there.
The perception of why Mo will be the team leader is because we HAVE NONE, and he wasnt needed to be the leader where he has been. Yet, I would argue his personality would suggest he will be that here based on options we have, and he will take it on.
This means he will become a perennial All Star who deserved to be picked ahead of DWill? How long do you expect this transition to take? The city ought to throw a parade for him if you turn out to be right. It would be the steal of the century and vault us directly into contender status. Are your expectations really that high?Marvin - Marvin will live up to him being picked #2.
I hope.

I also voted Marvin because I just have a hunch he is going to break out in a Jazz Uni and play at an all star level.
I've never drank the Hayward kool aid, didn't like the pick and while he has been decent, my eyes are not seeing anything close to an all star.
Solid bench player.
Nerd, What have you seen that says Mo wasn't a leader? Those qualities are hard to quantify and don't show up in stats or sports page headlines.
I think he will be very solid.
