Who could we trade for?

Faried is at the top of my wish list. He's on the outs with current Nuggets management, but the Jazz know exactly what his contract looks like and if they can tap in to the potential that he showed in the World Cup, he'd be a steal.

Barnes and MKG would both be good additions too. I'd be interested in Greg Monroe if they can convince him to extend after the season too.

Exactly the reason they won't want to trade him until the last minute though. He is still on his rookie deal next year and they couldn't find a player close to as good for 3 million.

Harrison Barnes is Marvin Williams, he isn't a star.

He has been unleashed. He's been starting this season. He's averaging 11.3/6 in about 30 mpg. He's also shooting 43% from 3.
 
I'd take him though, I don't mean it as a negative that he is Marvin Williams. He just has 0 "star" potential.

Or he has it really easy because defenses have to pay attention to Curry/Thompson. Lee hasn't been playing this year.
 
The big question is do we have our wagon tied to the right horses. Is there some type of miracle that could cause Kanter to be an average defender? Is there any way Burke turns into a 40% shooter? Maybe there is a reason why Burks isn't playing well. I know that DL has a plan, but if the plan includes our current players some how being miraculously better, I don't see it. I think we need a few new horses. Try to make a deal DL!

We need a shooter that can play D. That much is obvi. More often than not guards like that get labeled a SG.
