The current worldwide school system promotes avoiding failure/not making mistakes/not being wrong, to the point of brainwashing people into living their lives in fear..
I refuse to believe that these are anywhere near ideal conditions to nurture talent and especially creativity.
I don't disagree with you at all that a lot of education systems in place fail miserably, and I only think the government makes it worse. As someone who's been to many schools and educational institutions, I've found better environments and more emphasis on creativity and free-thinking at private schools, ainec. Not a complete coincidence.
I think education in general has lost sight of its goal or mission statement as time has progressed whereas now it's completely counterproductive to what education should be doing in theory. Good idea, but horribly executed and mismanaged. I agree with your assessment on the situation tbh, only disagree with education being a bad thing inherently. I don't believe it to be because I believe it's purpose as an idea is to do exactly as you say - promoting creativity and growth for individual human beings (not some administrative beauracratic ****fest)
