Hill, Exum, Hood, Hayward, and Gobert. That puts 4 defensive stoppers, length, the ability to stretch the floor, rebounding, toughness, and experience. I would bring JJ in for Exum or Hood depending on how those guys are doing any given night. I would also swap in Lyles for Gobert to counter smaller lineups and stretch the floor.
Exum's defense is top notch and I think he and Hill will frustrate top quality scorers. Hayward and Gobert are no slouches either on D. We get stops this year at the end of games like last night... we will win a ton of games.
Lyles is the crazy wild card. I watched the last 4 minutes of the game last night twice. He stopped a drive, forced two misses with his hand in the face of shooters, and spread the floor with the deep threat. If he plays good defense, how could you not put him in over Favors with the ability to open up opposing defenses. I would have NEVER said that in preseason, etc. I was so impressed with him last night. Then again, I have been drinking chocolate churro punch all day!
