Who eventually replaces Boler?

I think we can all agree that Boler's lost his fastball over the past couple of years. I think he's fine, but I'm starting to wonder, when the time comes, who fills that seat when he eventually hangs it up?
 
Who is the current up and coming young BYU announcer? Figure that out and you have your guy.

Or you know, BYU alum announcing somewhere else. Or a kid of Ryan's friends who studied communications at BYU and has been working at some Wayne's world pub access channel somewhere.

Follow the trail of blue. The guy will be there at the end of it.
 
I'm generally not as critical of Boler as some, but when I watched the Raptors game the other day, he make a whole series of errors to begin the game. Almost 100% wrong on names and even what happened out there. He usually makes a bunch of mistakes, but not on that level. That was weird, and the rest of the game was more back to normal.

In all seriousness I wonder if he has had a minor stroke or is starting to get signs of Alzheimer's or something along those lines. Not like full on but the very beginning. He is doing things kind of like my dad did when he had a minor stroke. Misspeaking, mixing up words, losing track of conversation, etc. Over time it got better but he has never been 100% since. And it's been 10 years now. I really wonder if boler had something similar. Sure hope not.

Yeah, I was kinda thinking along similar lines. I think it's pretty fair to mix up Lauri and Walker underneath the basket, but the start of that game was something else. That felt like Something Is Wrong.
 
Love Boler but it's getting to the point he can't even distinguish the Jazz players anymore. I understand mixing up guys on the opposing side but he should at least be able to tell the difference between Kessler/Lauri or Ochai/Sexton.
 
Just give Eric Collins 1M a year to leave Charlotte… he’s the best announcer in the league… not just the exciting stuff but he actually knows what’s going on. He got me excited to watch a Plumlee jumper the other night… do you know how hard that is.
 
Speaking of Jazz media, I am in SLC for a few days and have tried to listen to 1280 radio. What a **** show that is. First they had on Locke and it sounded like they were talking through a potato. Couldn’t understand one word he said. Several other technical mishaps. They have on low talent on air live commercials. I think some of the on air personalities were pawning their own **** over the air. Pajamas, pots and pans and random af ****. Bozos talking nonsense morning and afternoon. I felt like I was listening to a low grade community college radio station. Think: boom goes the dynamite. Flabbergasted this is the flagship radio station for an NBA franchise. Made me appreciate average to good sports radio.
