What's new

Who here works 40 hours a week or more?

In the summertime, I work around 75-80 hours per week. Winter time is anywhere from 25-40, depending on the week. Like Hantlers said, people complaining about a 50 hour work week don't really have much to complain about...

I run a whitewater rafting company, so most of the year is just spent getting ready for the 12 week busy season. Right now I am just in the midst of the busiest stretch.

Whoahhh... well at least it seems like you're raking it in!!

Anywhere from 40 -90 hours per week.

This last May I worked 344 hours for the month. Thats the most I have ever worked. At that point you start dreaming about your work.

I'm currently applying where PKM works.

I don't mind work so much. Its the having to get up and be somewhere early in the morning everyday. I just wish I could sleep in more. I love sleep.

This is a tough one. When I'm in town, I work from home. If you count the time spent flying all over the damn planet, my weekly average would be ridiculous.

But then again, I love my job and it doesn't seem like work all that much. Still boggles my mind I get paid what I do to do what I do.

Oh... and education pays off. Anyone who says otherwise is full of crap.

Another cabinet job I had let me work 40 hours anytime. Like you could do it all in 3 days or do the regular 5. And you could also get all the overtime you wanted. Kinda weird.

I worked/went to school for about 95 hours a week for 8 years. Now I work about 28 hours a week. My goal is in 5 years to only be working 2-3 hours a day, 4 days a week.

Back to the article, I wonder if that article wasn't half wrong, but if the difference is that we have a lower % of people working now a days?

Going to school and working at the same time all being lumped together? Scary numbers for me back in the day if that's the case.
