Going forward implies "future", so getting the #3 & #9 picks in the 2010 draft and either #5 or #6 for 2011, PLUS #12 for 2011, PLUS a likely lottery pick in 2012 gives us a decided advantage. NJ now has no 1st round pick in 2011; they just traded their future for Deron, who may not stay there past next season... With Memo's contract up after next year, Deron would be quite palatable here salary-wise, but who knows what he'll decide to do...
Ok look I had to go to work so I was unable to finish my thought. This should probably be another thread. KOC has made some recent good moves like drafting Dwill, Milsap, and moving proactively moving Dwill before he left. Yet, he is like the CJ Miles of GMs and I know that there are many of you that have a "blind hate" for CJ for him having one good game in five. That is KOC for every one good move to his four bad ones. We could have kept Dwill better GM.
