To just say that he made the Elite 8 at Missouri is intellectually dishonest. His teams did not get better over time.

From what I've heard the talent level was pretty low during the latter half of his time at Missouri. So maybe he just a ****ty recruiter?

I wasn't following college ball too much at that point, outside of the actual good teams…LazyD or PKM might be able to say more.

I always thought Snyder was supposed to be a good recruiter though.

Can you provide a link? I can't find that he has a show cause order.

What I do see is the player you failed to mention was Ricky Clemons. The day after he was arrested and charged with a felony, he was suspended for one game. He was reinstated three days later and played for 3 months. Clemons then pled guilty to reduced charges and was promptly suspended from the team for one year. Three months later he was dismissed from the team. It was AFTER being kicked off that his GF alleged Clemons had received money from someone at Mizzou. Snyder acknowledges he gave Clemons clothing and made some unallowed phone calls during the recruiting process.

I tend to think all those problems likely impacted Snyder's desire and ability to recruit and coach as he was focused on the NCAA investigation. Yes, he made some mistakes. Good news that he doesn't have to worry about recruiting for the Utah Jazz; Lindsey will take care of that!
 
What im really interested in is finding this infamous picture of Snyder drunk at mardi gras which caused issues for him at Mizzou. From what I understand he denied it was him in the picture, said he wasnt at mardi gras, then backtracked.
