Fighting is over rated but when a bully sees you enter the fight and backs down it is a great feeling. He knows he can take you but doing so involves a fat lip and bloody nose for him or another kick to the balls or smething similar and it just isn't worth it.

That is the key. Not to be the baddest guy around but to be more trouble than it is worth to mess with you. Then you breeze right thru.

I was the shortest kid in my class through elementary school and I know exactly what you're talking about. I've never been bullied for more than 2 minutes or so. I'm not a violent person, but I'm also not a person sitting here trying to take **** from anyone. No, I'm not the undiscovered king of MMA. Growing up however, if you wanted to mess around I was ready to give it better than I got it. Again, shortest, skinniest kid in class and I don't feel like I've ever been picked on. It's more about the way I look at the world than how tough I am.
