Who is Worth Keeping on the End of Bench?

What I do not understand is when they gave Brantley a real chance he scored 10 pts had some rebounds and assist and didn't suck on defense. Next game DNP and nothing since. He is not as good as a three pt shooter as Niang but he has a lot more other skills that Niang does not have. You have to let Niang walk and give Brantley a shot. He will be cheaper too. I am hoping that Hughes and Udoka will shine in Summer league enough to impress the coaches to let other guys go. If Hughes plays well then Oni isn't necessary. If Udoka plays great then Favors is expendable. You get rid of Favors play Udoka and keep Morgan for small ball or sure up other weaknesses. I would keep Hughes, Udoka and Forrest. Maybe Morgan if we get rid of Niang and Favors.

I just know that Morgan needs to go. Ersan as well.

Brantley may go if he doesn't get promoted and show something next year. I just don't think he is what he is stereotyped to be. I like his assertiveness on offense but his defense and motor isn't great. He may be a better passer than given credit for though.

Matt Thomas probably needs an offseason with a purpose so he fits in well but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut mid-season.

I think everyone else stays.

Look at the Suns and Cam Payne. Finding a diamond in the rough is key to being a contender. The year the Jazz tried with a former lottery bust, they got Mudiay. Suns did it and got Payne.

Jazz need to find next year's Cam Payne. Not necessarily a lottery bust, but just someone who has gotten passed over.

We've had some succes with finding rotation players out of nothing. Seems possible to do again. That's why I think it's a good idea to open up some of these end of bench roster spots and take as many shots as we can.

I think the end of roster needs to be a bit more balanced with playable/trustworthy veterans who have been cut by other teams (the Craigs of the NBA).
