2018 Prediction Contest Winner
I have just started to watch this series and finished the season one in a day. Its so damn good.

I love the violent realistic part in it and my favorite character is Jon Snow.

I wonder if anyone is following the series or even read the book?
 
In the show it's definitely Tyrion Lanister. That guy plays a great character in the show.

I probaby like Arya the best in the books. Or John Snow. Maybe Rob. I don't know probably any of the Starks.
 
Viserys, so deranged and lived in his own little fantasy world. Arya as well, a brilliant child actress.
 
Having never read the books and only watched the series, the easy pick is Tyrion Lanister. His "confessions" was one of the greatest scenes I have ever seen on TV. In the turtle stew, which his sister ate, at least he hopes she ate it.

The funny thing is in a SONG of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones is the first novel) it is normal for Tyrion or Jon Snow to be the favorite character until about half-way through the 3rd book-- A Storm of Swords. Then for many it becomes Jaime Lannister.
 
btw i'm about 200+ pages into the first book, which I understand each book get's better and better, so the best is yet to come!
 
Too many good characters to pick just one.

FWIW, Martin has said that his own favorite character is Tyrion. I could've guessed that one. And if you think he's cool now, wait until book 2, when he begins his duties as Hand.

...and it wasn't even in the books at all. Kudos to the writers on this one.

Also liked Petyr instructing the whores, but I can't post that one. Too many boobies involved for a family board...
 
Don't get HBO but have been an avid reader.

My favorite was the Hound. What a great tortured soul. Obviously most people love Tyrion, probably the most well-written character.

I always felt that Tyrion is un-killable due to the fact that he is so blatantly favored by the author. I could be surprised, but I doubt it. Jon Snow is barely second on that list. He will live through some rough times as well, probably in the end aided by his brother as has been so handsomely foreshadowed.
