I can't vote because I just don't know yet.

I don't think Rubio is a good option. By taking him from Minnesota, we would be taking him FOR Minnesota.

Good post. Agree. Acquiring Rubio would be giving George Hill to Minnesota, who we may very well have a first round match-up against should we re-sign Hayward (and be competing against for a playoff slot should we lose Hayward.) And we'd be the one giving up assets to make it happen.

That said, I think Rubio could be an excellent mentor to Dante and help flesh out a part of his game that he hasn't been able to get from studying under Hill. The question is if Rubio would be willing to come off the bench as Exum continues to grow this next season. My hunch says Beverly is far more likely to be amenable to that.

I worry that Bledsoe is too ball dominant and may disrupt what we do too much... if Hayward leaves I would want him though.

I think that Ricky is a basketball savant and that he adds stuff you don't see on both sides of the court. His shot making (or lack thereof) would be frustrating as hell. If we retain everybody though I think he's the guy that makes us the best, but his $$$ will hurt us at the other position of need.

Beverly? I love him with Hayward... if Hayward leaves then not as much, but he has the lowest dollars.

Here is my issue - supposedly Minny wants to keep Ricky now. I think Houston wants to use beverly if they can get rid of anderson... they have to clear a **** ton of cap space to do what they want. I don't want Ryno... but sacramento might... so there is a tricky 3 team dance we could do.

I will say Beverly depending on the cost. He's a mother ****er... we need one of those.

Agree, HH. Beverly has the bonus of being a perfect mentor to Exum AND Donovan, and has already shown a willingness to come off the bench once Exum takes the reins, which I'm now convinced will happen by the All Star Break this year.

Don't want Bledsoe, meh on Hill (unless cheap). From the ones mentioned, Beverly makes sense. But Pat is about as natural of a complement at the 1 for Harden as you can find. Rockets would be dumb to let him go

I'm not sure. I love George but the money/injury ratio concerns me. Bledsoe is great, but who do we lose that enables us to get him? Rubio is a great floor general and would be great with PN'R for Rudy, but isn't he turnover prone? And he wouldn't help spread the floor. Hopefully we could rely on our other wings for that, but more shooters is better than fewer. I do like Beverley and he's cheap, which offers flexibility.

I hadn't heard what DL said about Exum. That's great. But does that help us keep Gordon? I agree they'll need someone who can start and give us quality playmaking, but also take a back seat when the time comes.

Here is the trade:

Houston sends Anderson to Sacramento.

Sacramento sends Afflalo's unguaranteed deal to Houston and Boom Bitches to Utah.

We send cap space or Diaw and take back Beverly and BB. Not ideal to take back BB, but better than Anderson's deal and he's a great backup C. Plus we need more BB... he has unfinished business.

No picks involved because KK is slightly negative... its a better fit for Ryno and they were said to have wanted him last year. He becomes the vet leader voice and can shoot since they have a million bigs.

Deal would put us right at the tax line, but we could trade Favs/Burks/OKC pick to find a decent option at PF. Or we could sign someone and move the pieces during the season to lower the tax bill.

I like Hill but only if we can get him on a good deal and not for more than 3 years. I'm getting doubtful we can get him for a reasonable deal. He is going to chase money. But if we can he is the best fit and option.

Bledsoe is an injury risk and a little risky in general but the most upside.

Rubio can't shoot but will help with setting players up but I'm not sure I want a PG taking the ball out Hayward and others hands on offense. I might prefer Rondo to Rubio right now and he could be cheaper.

Beverly might be a good fit, he can play off ball well and defend well.

Exum is still someone I think that will start by the end of next season but we need someone to push him. Bev might be a good fit in those regards and is cheap.
