The trade deadline will be very boring. No trades for the Jazz and probably little to no trades at all for the league.


Why the hell do the NBA fans get all worked about this?

Why the hell doesn't the NBA change some things to make trading easier? Obviously the fans love this. Why disappoint them every year?

What specifically do you want the NBA to change? This morning (in a very rare instance of me listening to sports radio) David James commented that the reason you don't see a lot of teams dealing big-name players at the trade deadline is that usually doesn't benefit the team trading the star player. Teams have learned from the past mistakes of others.

You're right. No trade deadline trades have happened, ever.

I don't know what to change. Just throw some new rules in a hat and draw them out.

It should be obvious from my post that I rarely hear anything DJ actually says. In this case though, I think he has a point. I'll dig up some past big-name player deadline deals and come back later with more thoughts on the matter.

umm, maybe you should be asking your girlfriend who wants the shocker.... just sayin... by the way, sticking with the Marvin getting traded. He is outta here. I will be surprised if/when he is not.

So what time exactly is the deadline? Like if stuff isn't happening right now (behind the scenes, of course) it ain't gonna happen, right?
