Who Was Worse: Rookie Cody or Rookie Dante?

Here is a depressing stat comparison: interesting to note, Williams was drafted exactly 10 years after Exum - nice of the jazz to draft an exum clone on the 10 anniversary

Dante Exum through his first 15 games: 18 mpg, 4.9 ppg, 37.5 FG, 30% 3pt (on 2.6 attempts), 57.9% FT (on 1.2 FTA), 1.6 reb, 2.5 asts, .3 blk, .5 stls, .9 TO, 5.7 PER (for the entire seaon)
Cody Williams through his first 14 gms: 20 mpg, 3.5 ppg, 29.0 FG, 20% 3pt (on 2.4 attempts), 60.0% FT (on 0.7 FTA), 2.4 reb, 1.4 asts, .5 stls, .3 blk, .7 TO, 3.9 PER

I mean, those are definitely numbers. not big numbers, but they are numbers - that is not in dispute. gotta give the edge to dante.
And Dante was a few notches above defensively.

I just really hope when the post trade deadline comes around and the NBA games become a complete joke with hyper tanking that Cody is ready to have a mini-breakout when he stops playing like a weenie.

yup. don't get me wrong, trash play annoys me but it's them being passive little bitches that i just couldn't/can't handle. i have no patience for that.

And this whole convo is why he should have already been hidden in the G League. The level of toxicity is just gonna go up if he stays with the varsity team and at one point it will reach him and no 20 year old is immune to such unless he has some personality disorder.

But any NBA minutes is good for development...

At this point, the best use of Cody is to ensure losses. It’s a terrible waste of a #10 pick but right now it’s the best use for it (if appearances factor into the equation at all).

Just got to hope he has some significant physical improvement in the next two years.

It's a real bummer with him and Hendricks. I'm not going to call them "misses" yet, but they are definitely behind the curve and dont look like surefire starters. Definitely feels like the progress towards winning took a hit this year and we are looking at least an extra year of tanking.
