Well **** cancel everything I said then.
We agree again.

Meh, taking Rondo off their hands gives them Parker, Wiggins, or Randle. That should be enough if they really want to part with Rondo.
I'd throw in Burks, Gobert, Burke, or Neto plus any combo of draft picks.
Just not giving them any of the C3 (Hayward, Kanter, Favors). Besides, you need a player like Hayward to compliment Rondo.
So, UGLI and OG.. the two of you seriously wouldn't do Hayward and GSW pick?
(UGLI and OG has a heck of a ring to it.. sounds like ebony and ivory...)
Tough choice. I'd have to think about it.
Oh Rajon you're so handsome.....
Anyway, like I said, I wouldn't necessarily advocate a move for Rondo by trading Hayward +. The original question from the OP was what would it take to get him. In the real world Jazz would most certainly get outbid unless they traded one their core players.
I remember checking out The Celtics Real GM Board after Gordo did that double block in Boston and half the board was blowing their Clam Chowder all over the place over him. Boston is the most racist place in America north of the Mason/Dixon Line. And while they rooted for Pierce and Garnett, they all secretly pine of the days of Bird and McHale. Hayward would become an instant fan favorite.
I just can't imagine passing on Rondo if we could pick up an elite shooter to replace Hayward (with our pick) and then have free agency to add another great player.
There are a few here that just don't get basketball (you know, the game..) and therefore don't see how special Rondo is on the court.
And when Rondo leaves to play for the Lakers, you given up 4 assets and are left with nothing. Not advocating but in a trade I'd say Burke, Hayward and two #1's.
And then you'd probably have to be prepared to offer a max deal after 2014-15 season.
How do you basketball?
Hayward could be primed for a Paul Georgeish breakout season. Rondo is coming off an injury and I know you'll hate this but he will be playing without Hall of Famers around him for the first time in his career. You can't say that doesn't matter.
If we were ready to contend NOW then I'd be more willing to do the trade, but we aren't.
Also, I've been told by someone at least 400 times that the 2014 draft is epic and there will be good value even into the 20's...

This. Exactly
Not Rondo good..
Oh well.. I don't really come here for intelligent bb talk.
You really think Hayward and an unprotected first rounder in a stacked draft for Rondo is such a slam dunk that every none dumb person would immediately do it?

How did I ever become a fan of a team full of a completely defeatists fan base?
^This.
