Shane Larkin shoots well, especially off the dribble, and he shoots fast.
But so does Jimmer.

That's a horrible comparision considering Jimmer can't jump 44 inches, is relatively slow, with poor lateral quickness. Nate Robinson would be a much better comp, but shorter and not the same ball control. Jimmer isn't really that proficient of a ball dribbler either.

I wasn't comparing them. I know it's a terrible comparison.
Just saying, to no one in particular, that shooting translates to the NBA, but does not necessarily mean success in the NBA.

I was warning everyone on Hassan from day 1.

I was also high in Austin Rivers.

My point? No idea.

Whiteside was a good prospect. He injured his knee, missed his entire rookie season and never really developed. He looked good in his first pre-season though.

I'll sheepishly admit I wanted the Jazz to trade down and take Whiteside in the late teens.

I probably would have gotten behind that, tbh. I was just listening to some drool over him AHEAD of Cousins..... and there were tons.

I wanted the Jazz to take Whiteside at #9 not even going to lie, hmm maybe we shouldn't take Larkin at #14 after all, lol. :D
Well, he was being mentioned as a top-10 pick in most early mocks...until people actually saw him in workouts. Then he dropped like a rock.

I think at worst he is DJ Augustin (an OK back-up) and at best he is Kemba Walker (who is starting now, but will probably turn into a Bobby Jackson, Jason Terry, Nate Robinson scorer off the bench).

See, that's not enough upside for me at the #14 spot.
