Just a fun exercise - so if you're a serious person, look away now.

OK guys.. if for some reason we can trade Ty to another team for their coach, but that other team wants a young player in return for taking on Ty's contract/baggage, etc. Who would you be willing to give up of the Core 4?

I would give up Burks, but it might not be enough for a decent coach.. so may be Hayward?

So I would trade Ty & Hayward for George Karl.

Thoughts?

Guys.. if you think giving up Hayward is too much for George Karl then think about this:

- Can you imagine the Jazz making it to the NBA Finals with Ty at the helm? (even with Hayward on our team)? My answer is No.

- Then how about George Karl taking Favors, Kanter & Burks to the Finals? My answer is Yes.

So that's why I think this could be a good trade for us. You have to think long term.
 
I would give up the core4.
yes i hope they get traded.
millsap does not get a new contract.
so i have no connection to this jazz team.
so i can move on.

I care about carroll but not enough and he'll probably move to another team.

Just read Dutch's last post so now he HAS to be included due to his Braille-like cancerous attitude.
 
I wouldn't do any trade at all. Worst case scenario, Ty stays and we get an elite basketball player in the draft next year. We still need that elite player, so Ty could end up bringing us a title in the end.

No, worst case is resigning Sap, Al, Mo and Foye and the youth still don't play. Then the team ends up just missing the playoffs. That's the worst case scenario.
 
For my money, Thibs is the best coach in the NBA. I'd probably give up Kanter AND Burks to get him over here.

Well he's top 3. I would put Pop in there with Jackson as the other 2. What Thibs has been able to do with the Bulls team this year missing D Rose is nothing short of amazing. With D Rose healthy, they should be in contention each year.
