He'd literally be perfect for this team.

You're not one of those "our contending window is still 6-7 years away" people, are you? With an outlook like that, the Jazz should immediately look into trading Lauri.
 
Knicks getting Holiday would also in a way help their recruitment of Embiid. Philly's only hope of getting something solid for Harden and a pick is a Clips three way. Maybe the Lakers go after Harden in season but his market is really limited. Having to play disgruntled Harden all season and getting nothing for him would be when Embiid finally asks out.
 
Anyone know the timeline of when Portland has to get a Jrue deal done if they want to work it in with the current 3-team framework of the Dame deal?

Our window if we develop and draft well opens in 2 years. Anyone that says otherwise is full of ****. Jrue doesn't fit our timeline and doesn't come close to making us any kind of contender over the next few years.

While I understand where you are coming from… we don’t own our pick this year… so buying and seeing what happens isn’t a big deal (if he extends) you could trade him later if you wanted… or it might be the first of a couple moves that speed up the timeline.

I’m pretty confident the offers will be too good for us to confidently get him.

We do own our pick this year based on our likely finish. Adding Jrue still only makes us a borderline play in team.
