Our window if we develop and draft well opens in 2 years. Anyone that says otherwise is full of ****. Jrue doesn't fit our timeline and doesn't come close to making us any kind of contender over the next few years.

What is realistically happening in two years that opens up our window?

Only thing I can think of is Keyonte's development. I'm curious what you are thinking about.

Holiday in a heartbeat! Holiday is exactly what we need right now to a) make us an immediate contender , b) shore up our porous perimeter D, and c) to mentor George for the next two seasons. Two years is a perfect window of apprenticeship for Keen George to assume his throne IMO!

Big props to the Saint for getting out ahead of the curve on this one.

Knicks getting Holiday would also in a way help their recruitment of Embiid. Philly's only hope of getting something solid for Harden and a pick is a Clips three way. Maybe the Lakers go after Harden in season but his market is really limited. Having to play disgruntled Harden all season and getting nothing for him would be when Embiid finally asks out.
People around here dont want NBA MVP's on the jazz. Or at least only certain ones.

It does when talking about a 33yr old that doesn't fit our timeline. Some of you guys just never learn.
And at least the last time we did that move we were closer to contention than we are now.

Ochai development, Kessler development, Hendricks development, etc. Lots of young dudes with potential that need to develop before we ready to roll.

Ugh. Herro does nothing to move the needle, if taken in a vacuum. If it's part of other moves then he might be a great addition. But unless we are adding some other star-level player I don't need a Herro.

When people obsess about timeline I remember the Core4 talks and how that **** worked out. Wasted years sitting around for guys to develop and only one actually panned out to be anything of worth then he left the first moment he could.

So much fun. You know how much better that era would have gone if we kept Millsap?

Whats teh point of having assets if youre just going to hoard them? I get waiting years if youre asset poor and you need to accumulate, but we aint have to do that.

I guess I should clarify that when I hear window I'm thinking championship window. I don't think any of those things make us title contenders.

Jrue wouldn't take away from any of that development either. He would just help us be more competitive sooner.

Our best players are 26, 26, and 31. You sound stupid when you act like Jrue Holiday cant be on our timeline.
