Why Corbin's defense sucks

The real question. Is that Corbin's defense or is that his players botching there rotations.

Both answers are a bad reflection on Corbin but it would be interesting to know what it is he has drawn out.

This is classic help the helper. Someone has to be in the position to rebound or defend the miss while Favors is protecting the rim. Jazz have only been doing this for the last 30 years.

Your observations on Burk are mostly correct though - plenty of activity with zero achievement.
 
The main reason why Corbin's defense sucks is that in most games, we are an inferior athletic team.

Helping the helper doesn't just mean defending the helper's man, it means occuyping the rebounding space that the helper has abandoned to defend the basket If Parker shoots and misses who gets the rebound? Burke??? NFW

Standing underneath Derrick Favors is not helping cover Favors' rebounding position by boxing out Duncan. SMFH
