Why didn't we go after Lowry?

C.J. Miles and a lottery pick. That's pretty much what the Raptors gave up for him. I think Lowry is worth this and would've been just fine giving those pieces up. He's better than what we have now and we could've flipped Mo for something.

14.3 ppg, 6.6 ast, 4.6 rpg, 18.89 PER.

None of you big mouths with anything to say? That's a surprise. Verlin you neg repped me (4 times now). Tell me why you think Lowry isn't worth it. Or your reasoning why you wouldn't want him.

I stand corrected, it's actually five.

OK I'll give it a shot...

Lowry's career averages: 10.4 ppg, 4.8 apg, 3.5 rpg, 42% FG, 33% 3PT, 78% FT
Mo-Will's career averages: 13.8 ppg, 4.9 apg, 2.9 rpg, 44% FG, 39% 3PT, 87% FT

IMO, we already have a better PG in Mo, AND we didn't have to give up our GS draft pick. How's that?

Butt.. but Lowry is much younger.

Because Lowry is not a substantial upgrade over Mo-will, doesn't know the system, has major attitude problems, and isn't a leader?

I think that's a pretty solid answer, especially when you factor in that Mo-will cost us nothing versus a lottery pick.

For one thing, he was clearly disgruntled in Houston, and that might make a team with some young players and a young head coach think twice about it. And even if the Jazz made the offer you mentioned, the Rockets mainly wanted the lottery pick from the trade so they can offer it to the Nets. With stipulations the Rockets have to get the pick in 4 years or they don't get it. Obviously the Raptors are a better bet to be in the lottery than the Jazz.

Lowry is on the up while Mo is on the down. He is clearly better than Williams at this point and he's going to get better. 5.7 million compared to 8.5? And we could've gotten something for Mo.

Everyone is saying our #3 pick Enes Kanter is a bust. Not saying that I agree but you see my point. We know Lowry is solid and fairly young. Giving up a lottery pick, which won't be top 3 or probably 4, using the TPE and than flipping Mo. It sounds like a solid play to me.

I would have been fine with the Jazz going after Lowry, but like I said, Houston wanted a guaranteed lottery pick to offer to the Nets, and they were more likely to get that from the Raptors. Also, the Rockets don't want Miles and neither does Orlando, so acquiring him wouldn't do the Rockets any good. I don't think the Jazz would have offered anything that the Rockets could turn and offer to the Nets.

Please stop talking....

Seriously.
