With Mathews probably leaving its the oppertunity for CJ to play his proper position. I believe he is a true SG. This way AK can start at the 3 and Hayward can back him up.
Or is it just me that believes CJ would be better used as a 2 guard?
CJ can play both but his average lateral quickness allows him to guard 3's more effectively. I believe Hayward's lateral quickness is on par with CJ's and he will also be able to play the 2 and guard NBA SG's not named Kobe, Dwayne, Andre, etc.
So do you all think that CJ at the 2 and AK at the 3 would be effective in the starting lineup? My point is that this would be effective and really was the point of my thread.
Yes, there is no reason that those 2 can't play together. I'm looking forward to seeing if CJ brings his defensive intensity from the playoffs with him to this year's regular season.
