What's new

Why I want the Jazz to lose tonight.

I am a Jazzfan. Here me roar!!!

I want star players but dont want any part of the lottery. I want to win a championship, but dont want any part of the lottery. I hate the players and the coach but I love the GM. I wanna win but hate any player with an attitude.

Blahhhh. Here me roar. I make lots of sense.

we are not the tankers. we are better then a lottery team. we have like a half dozen top 10 picks on our team. we have been to thr draft and back. it is now time to move forward and not loose by 45!!

The last game was an absolute embarrassment.

The game before was pathetic.

IF the Jazz go out and lose again, it might be enough to get management to do something.

Nothing but losses has any hope of making this team better.

Nothing but bad losses will make the team better, quicker.

Finally, someone gets it!!!

The problem is that KOC, Miller and Corbin will not get it!

Yep.

Let's see they follow their current M.O., and barely make or barely miss the playoffs, never truly improving.

Or we trade Al/Paul and Marvin/Foye to open up time for our youth to help them develop and more importantly, TO HELP THEM DEVELOP!!!!!!! What's going to happen? We lose another five games and miss out on the playoffs? Who gives a ****? Trading those vets and saving money in the process is going to net more money than a four game sweep will. So what the ****'s the point of our current M.O.? Trade these dumbass vets, save money for a year or two, let the young guys develop, and let's get better draft picks. It's really not rocket science here. ****, I bet we could fill more seats if Al and Marvin were gone and Favors, Kanter, and Burks were getting another 12 minutes a night, along with Carroll and Hayward also getting more burn.

I don't disagree with alot of what you said. I just will not root for the jazz to loose.

What If this is KOC master plan at work right now… Jefferson and Millsap are expiring at the end of this year right? So listen to this. No body just wants to build a one hit wonder team, koc isn’t any different he wants a dynasty a long term winning team. He isn’t a complete idiot. He knows Jefferson is awful on D he knows he needs more pieces. I say he isn’t planning any trades this February. I say he is going to let milsap and jefferlog walk away maybe offer them a small contract. (AKA what they are worth) the don’t take it who cares. Then the dynasty can begin he will have the funds so in the coming years he can extend favors and kanter and burks and Hayward and a PG that will come soon enough. He doesn’t want to take on another huge contract that might clog up the youngins or make it hard to resign when the time comes. I think he is doing a great job looking into our future now while still staying slightly competitive (excusing the 45 point lost though)

i agree that if jefferson and sap were traded and the young guys were playing trying to win id love it. but i think until then we do what we are capable of, and that a 7 or 8th seed in the playoffs. then in the offseason i hate to say it but let the two bigs walk.

I think so too, but why then they don't play Favors and Kanter more if BigAl and Millsap are not the future?

And how is this brilliant? What was KOC's brilliant purpose in stunting our youth's growth for guys who you say he has no real intention of re-signing?

I honestly dont know. id love to know though. if someone has tyco or KOC emial id love to ask. cause honestly all i can think of is the jazz are a win now kind of team. they must feel that the vets are more stable and consitant. and in a way they are. you basically know every night what they are going to give ya.

he is still winning while rebuilding. jazz have goals to reach the playoffs every year, and they have been amazingly good at getting there. and i think that if you can make it to the big dance you can have a chance to win it. half the people on this board think that rebuilding will lead to a western confrence championship in the next 3 years... i think we are rebuilding while being a decent team. you dont need to start 4 20 year old kids to be considering rebuilding.

i agree with you, but we all know that 1st round playoff exit is the best they can achieve this season and i think nobody wants to root for this stuff

Kill yourself.

I think it's funny people really think our management thinks our current roster make up is good enough. They want to make changes, they just want to make the right ones. They have patience.

Their goal is to make the playoffs? And that's something to be proud of? Sorry but half the league makes the playoffs. I want more than mediocrity. And if this is truly the Jazz M.O., I'll ****ing find a new team who's run professionally. And in case you haven't been following, this isn't the Big Dance where teams are one and done. It's the NBA where seven game series have to play out and fatally flawed teams like ours with Fat Al and no point guard will get sodomized and have zero shot of winning four games and moving on.

Again, by trading these suckass vets, the Millers save/make more money (than they'd make from having two home playoff games), we develop our youth which should be priority number one, get better draft picks, and quite frankly, could be a better team. But we'll never know.

No one wants to lose, but when you're a fan who wants your team to improve and see coaching and management moves going nowhere, maybe a game like Monday's will shake things up. Maybe we do need another loss so they start thinking it wasn't an aberration.

Most of the board has been begging to go with the young guys and build. If they had listened to us last year, who knows, we might've gotten Lilliard because we did have our eye on him and no one really thought he would be that good -- so KOC might've worked out a deal. Plus we would've had a second draft pick.

Whatever happens, you know the best we can hope for is a first round exit. We just aren't that good right now.

i can see you have had GM Exp.. that apparent.. glad you know how an nba team should be ran. it sounds like you have all the credentials you can BS on a board, you have ideas and guts i say go apply you are plenty qualifed.....

KOC has been doing this for quite a while i think he knows how to build a succesful team. teams he has created using his bldg process have made it to the wester confrance finals. his method is not broken. i hate al jefferson and the vet rotation as much as the next guy. i want kanter nad favors to get more minutes, i wish the jazz did it the way other teams did it. like the wiz and portland and worriors if you have youngtalented guys you play them. the jazz have never done it that why. i just feel koc has done a really good job with this small market team, and lets be honest it can only get better lol.

KOC is so successful that he's won how many playoff series in his 13 or so years here as GM? How many since Stock/Malone left and he needed to actually build ****?

Oh come on gojazz79.

Come down off your high and mighty horse. Its just a game. This isn't like saying you would never cheat on your wife or backstab a friend. Its just basketball. If losing will help you win big later then there is nothing wrong with rooting for your team to lose in a certain situation. Just look at the Spurs. It paid off for them right?

So you can stop with the whole basketball is your moral compass crap.

That goes for everyone else. You aren't a better person because you won't ever root for your team to lose.
