Why is RAJA still on the team

I am in the extreme minority but I like KOC Begone.

I am in agreement that Bell needs to be gone and he needs to be gone yesterday.

Just give it some time. I think it's obvious he will be moved. Probably KOC is trying to make a deal where we get something back.

probably neither LAC nor ATL wanted him. ATL was doing their move to clear cap space, and LAC was doing theirs to clear an existing backcourt logjam.

bell can be amnestied starting july 11, but my guess is the jazz will wait to amnesty him until july 17, the deadline. might as well keep him under contract for the seven days to see if his salary could be used in a trade. but if nothing has happened by 7/17, expect raja to get the axe that day.

I'm sure the Jazz are trying to get rid of him, but nobody wants him. I mean who wouldn't want an over the hill basketball player who through his coach under the bus at the end of the season?

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Bell is amnestied and then nobody picks him up.

We just had two moves and we weren't able to get rid of Raja in either case? The new team could have just bought him out WTF KOC?
Welcome back. You've been strangely silent during all the trade activity.
I guess this is the best you can come up with.

Um, let's see: Dallas didn't want to take on extra salary as they're bidding on Deron. Atlanta is shedding as much as they can to go after Superman and his buddy, Hedo, who would be included in any deal.

Oh yeah, perhaps it's NO ONE WANTS Raja. I think we'd have to include an unprotected first for a team to take him off our hands.

I know you have to find something critical to say about KOC, but is this the best you can do? Don't worry. Raja will NOT be with the team in training camp. He'll be gone by July 17th, which is the cut-off for the amnesty provision to be used. BTW, did you know it can't be done until July 11th, which is the date all these trades become official?

Besides why announce something like that when there's still a small chance his expiring could be used in a trade. I know you probably think otherwise, but I'll bet KOC is still talking to teams and agents about further deals and FA signings. Nothing may happen, but you don't limit your opportunities until you have to.

Full respect

If he is on the team what is going to happen?

Well if he is on the team at the start of the season that is horrible.

Now that that is out of the way I would hope that it is a repeat of the end of the season. Nothing but phantom injuries and DNPs for him. I wished it had worked out but it has not. I have soured on Raja and I hope he never plays another minute in a Jazz uniform.

Mr. Bell good luck in your future endeavors.

I've been busy sorry. I'm critical of poor moves teams could have taken his contract and bought him out. Then we wouldn't have to use our amnesty on Bell this would be a waste.

By the way I'm happy about Mo Williams but I think that we were in the driver seat and we should have demanded them to take one of our expiring contracts or give us at least a pick.
Marvin Williams is TBD because I think it is great that we got Harris off of the team because MO and him couldn't have coexisted. But, Marvin Williams is a flyer he is going to be our new CJ Miles with a ton talent and little drive.
I don't like that we resigned Tinsley he is old we could have gotten a young player for about the same price like a Machado.
I'm also scared to see what happens with Big Al or Paul because we do need to move them but KOC is usually the losing party in a the trades that we make.

Agree. He got absolutely ROBBED when he traded Deron. Should have at least gotten Brook Lopez included as a throw-in.

In the midst of all this great news, you STILL just had to find SOMETHING to complain about, didn't you? We've made great offseason moves and you know it.

Bell can still be used in a trade to make salaries add up.

yeah, although it's a lot easier to make salaries match without throw-ins because of the new 150% + 100K rule. for example, if we were to trade al, we could take back anybody whose salary went all the way up to 22.6M... we would only need raja as a throw-in if we wanted a guy above that level... and obviously we aren't going after that type of guy.
