I said "could be." The guy has a lot of drive and athletes like that are the ones that overachieve. Look at someone like Pete Rose. Sure they need to have some athletic ability, but it's not unusual to see guys with limited athletic ability but determination and intelligence achieve far above their peers with greater natural abilities. Think Larry Bird or Jeff Hornacek.
Sure Charlie Hustle was even better because he hustled, but there still was a lot of talent there. Wes Matthews is not overly athletic, not the greatest shooter, and not the greatest passer. I do think he will be a solid player. But shouldn't even be considered at this point because of the price. If we match which I unfortunately think we will then we will be worse off for it in the long run.
