It would appear that Wiggins, Parker, and Randle are going to be the top 3 prospects in the 2014 draft. If the Jazz had the #1 pick in the draft, which player, as of today (I know much will likely change in the next few months) would you want them to draft and why? I must say, I am curious to know how many people have jumped off the Wiggins bandwagon after impressive performances from Parker and Randle.

Also, 6 years from now, who will be the best, 2nd best and 3rd best out of the 3. I'll start.

Randle
Parker
Wiggins (I think he has more potential than Randle and Parker, but not as much of the "It" factor.)

Voted Parker. Reading more and more about his ability to play multiple positions well has swayed me. Randle is probably the more sure choice in my mind, but Parker is a Utah guy?

Voted wiggins..... Very good chance parker and randle end up better than wiggins, but wiggins has that chance to be a all time great.

Basically if wiggins doesn't live up to the hype, he probably ends up like vince carter... Makes a couple of all star teams, wins some dunk contests, sells tons of jerseys, and get on the top 10 of espn every night.

So if parker and randle end up better, at least we can be like "damn i wish we would have picked parker/randle but at least we get to watch wiggins dunking on fools everynight.

But if wiggins does reach his potential and we pick randle or parker over him, then we would end up being way more regrettful watching wiggins win championships, dunk contests, mvp's, sportcenter top 10's, and be the talk of the nba.

Parker just seems like he is more mentally prepared. There is almost no chance he will bust. Carmello Anthony with a brain is a superstar for many years. Also, I think his game will age better than the other two.

Also the Stormin' Mormon hype machine with Parker playing right next to Temple Square would be fabulous, but that is beside the point.

Right now Wiggins, but it could be Parker by the end of the season.

With what we know now any of those 3 mentioned would be a huge boost for this team.

I really dont think any of the 3 will bust.

I think worst case for wiggins is vince carter.
Worst case for randle is derrick coleman.
Worst case for parker is poor mans paul pierce

I do think that parker is the most "sure thing" of the 3

I wanted to say Randle, but that scenario would mean saying goodbye to Kanter or Favors (fine with trading Favors, but think the f/o would trade/bench Kanter, and that doesn't work for me).

I didn't choose Wiggins just because his lack of fire really scares me. He is reminding me of a Darius Miles more and more. I want to see him rip the hearts out of his oppenents and drink their blood, then ride off into the sunset with their girlfriends--just because he has that ability.

I chose Parker, and it has nothing to do with him being LDS (I am not, and that's a retarded way to build a contender). I chose him because I thunknhe fills a gaping hole in our team (sf is Hayward plays sg), and is a dominant force. Parker looks like a man, plays like a man, and acts like one. He has an incredible all around game, and really buys into the succes of the team, but at the same time isn't affraid to dominate the ball game.

As do I.

If Parker's floor is Paul Pierce, we would be well on our way to being contenders. If Wiggins is Vince Carter (who I idolized as a kid), we will still be going nowehre fast. If Wiggins is just Vince Carter, I'm content with watching J. Evans chase down oops from halfcourt as Parker leads us to yhe finals. Even if Wiggins is Lebron, the Cavs never won it all.

Potential is too big a gamble when you consider how much we've sacrificed and are counting on this draft class. Parker and Randle are already the real deal.

If Wiggins shows me has the mental makeup, I reserve the right to reconsider, but thus far I haven't seen it. Our team needs a leader.

I liked this post until the last sentence.

This team in the finals would probably be about as good as the Cavs without LeBron. We will definitely get better by adding another draft pick and some free agents.

But I would way rather have a guy like Paul Pierce than Vince Carter. Totally agree with you that I would rather watch Jeremy Evans than Carter.

Seems like Wiggins is more McGrady than Carter though, and McGrady on this team would kill it. We would be insanely good.

Definitely not doubting Lebron. Was just saying the Cavs weren't a good enough team for him to win it all. At this point of the process (yes I know we have GSW pick, and cap space for FA) are only contender level starters are Hayward and Kanter. We need another VERY solid piece who can also function as a #1 option, and I see that as Parker. We've got to make sure we have a good team first and foremost.

Yeah.. that's all I was saying..... you add Lebron to THIS team.. along with the picks and FA cash and I think we're doing dynasty work.

How did you come up with this comp? Their games don't look anything alike IMO. Are you talking overall talent level and where Carter sits on the all time list?
