He will be boo'd. For sure. It fits the profile of the common Jazz fan. Look at the posts above from rotund posters like Balloun. No evidence one way or the other but yet he is taking sides.

I think its a self fulfilling prophecy if the Jazz fans cant get over blaming Williams. Because once blamed, why in the world, would Williams want to stay with this franchise. And if that happens, the fans themselves will ruin this franchise because no one will want to play here. The team will have to be moved...as players will veto a trade to the Jazz.

If you boo Deron Williams tomorrow night, you are not a Jazz fan. Stop posting and go make a new account on OKCThunderFans.

Coach Sloan's ability to turn guys like Bryon Russell and Donyell Marshall into all stars kept me a fan after Stockton and Malone were gone.

Bryon Russell and Donyell Marshall were "all stars?" You've been breathing or smoking that West Virginia coal dust too long!

...everybody in town knew it was time for Sloan to hang it up. If Deron contributed to that end then he should be cheered not booed!

BUT: I will boo Deron if he turns the ball over 3 consecutive times at the end of a tight game.

my thoughts exactly. boo because its justified. not because a high school rumor got you mad enough to meet at the flagpole.

Please don't feed the fire. If you are a jazz fan and boo when Deron is introduced tomorrow, you are a fool.

And you know it's not true? If you think that the press conference was all truth, and not a load of window dressing, then my idiocy shouldn't be the issue here. I don't care if you're a Deron man, but I'm a Jerry man.

I dont think that anyone should be a "deron man" or a "jerry man". How about just utah jazz fanz. support the team!

If anyone boos D-Will tomorrow, I will personally come bonk you in the head with a baseball bat. I have my eyes on you! Don't make me do it!

I don't think we'll know the whole truth ever.... And if we do, it won't be for a while.

The franchise wasn't looking to move in a different direction, otherwise they wouldn't have offered him an extension. Sloan wasn't too serious about retirement, otherwise he wouldn't have signed the extension. He easily could have just waited a few more months and made a decision. Sloan isn't a quitter either. He wouldn't ever just leave a franchise in the middle of the season that easily could lead to a playoff berth.

Something has been boiling for games... Months... Years even.

I don't think Jerry and Deron ever had a good relationship. They even got off on the wrong foot (mostly because of Sloan. Why did he play jokes ahead of Deron?).
Steadily Deron's become more Lebronbitchisk with each passing year. More complaining to the refs, more attitude, and specifically, MORE BOLD with his comments. All year long he has taken subtle jabs at Sloan. The way they practiced, watched film, prepared, ran plays, etc. I think this has taken a toll on their relationship.

Last night reached a breaking point.

I think Sloan just put his hands in the air and handed Deron the reigns to be coach. Remember, obedience and respect have always been things that Jerry has harped on. I distinctly remember him saying stuff like, "The day they don't listen to me will be the day I need to leave." Well, that day occurred on Feb 9, 2011.

KOC and Greg probably pleaded with him to stay. But for what purpose? Deron would still be around. No way he's been traded. So Jerry left.

That's what I think happened.

Well Thrill... er, Salt... er, Thomas, I don't really want to rehash this argument. You think what you want to think, I'll think what I want to think. In the end, and as usual, I will be right. It's ok man, a lot of people have come to this realization.
Why are you making the strongest argument there is for religion in this thread?
