Is it in him to do that?

Is Kanter officially the better prospect.....?

They are not the same player. A really good team needs both. I really don't see any value in trying to decide which is better. They both have skills that are complimentary and overlapping.

They're two completely different players, which is what makes most of us so excited.

They fit incredibly well together.

Yes, but it's going to be hard for either of them to do it often since they'll be playing along side each other. There's only so many rebounds to be had, and they're both great on the boards.

That's not a fair comparison.

Favors does a lot of the dirty work defensively - like going up to block shots, etc. He gets in foul trouble sometimes doing that. But we need that from him.

Favors definitely can do it and he will eventually. Kanter will be a better offensive player, but favors will turn out at least average in the post but still be great defensively.

I see your point, its like having Favors have 10 blocks and asking Kanter to do the same.

But I do think Favors has the ability to put up 23/22 but I think he is missing some of the nasty and aggressive attitude that Kanter has.

I also think Kanter was more advanced offensively while he was in High School, than Favors ever was in the first 2 years in the NBA.

They're just different players - that's why they complement each other so well.

I just hope Kanter's fire and competitiveness is contagious, I think that the only thing missing from Favors.

I understand. And it's a big issue, imo. Favors has to develop the wanting to dominate or he'll always be a guy with tons of talent and mediocre production.

Yep. It may be no more fair to try to turn Favors into Kanter than it is Kanter into Favors.

Having said that, I would like to see Favors start to play with more aggressiveness.

Will he get a 23 and 22? Maybe not, but he WILL total 45 stats in a game (25 points 10 rebounds and 10 blocks) because that is more his game.

Favors put up 17 and 15 vs Atlanta, which is more impressive than 23/22 vs the Bobcats.

He will get it sometime.

Favors had a near 20/20 game just a few nights ago, people, and it was against two All-Star big men...while playing along side a black hole.

I would rather have Favors once post 23 points and 10 blocks than 23 points 20 rebounds

Can I ask you something? Have you ever been neg'd?

It's not a criticism, it's just that your avatar is ** SO CUTE ** that it's impossible to have ill will towards you.

Seriously.

Do you want to neg me? I feel like you want to neg me.
The last time I remember being negged was for posting a picture comparison of Sam Cassel and ET.

Agree. Favors may have an 18/12 game that is every bit as good if he dominates on the defensive end. Kanter is more gifted offensively; Derrick has better defensive talent.
