He is like 21 or 22 years old right?
Keep him if the price is decent.
Dennis Lindsey sure has his derp comments. Yes, unless there is some tragic accident or terminal illness, all the young Jazz players will get to 24, 25, 26 chronologically. The question is what kind of talent will they have when they arrive at each birthday. Because if it's just a matter of chronology, you better re-sign everyone. This bit from a Dennis Lindsey interview makes me think we'll keep Kanter (and I hope we do)
"And I’d hate to go through the process with our young players, any young player, and go through all the trials and tribulations, and then let some other program reap the benefits when they turn 24, 25, 26. ‘Cause they’ll get there someday, chronologically."
Define decent?
Is that $8M/per or about what Favors is paid ($12m). Or will another team, knowing the cap is going to skyrocket in 18 months, offer him $16M to pry him away?
13 million per year? Idk
That might even be too much
I just would not want to give him a Hayward style contract is what im saying I guess
.
Not 16
8 Would be a steal (and a pipe dream)
I think 13 million tops probably.
If I'm DL, I call Kanter's agent at 12:00.01 and offer him the same contract as Favors if he'll agree to sign immediately.
