Punch Bowl Re-Filler
Must admit I'm a bit surprised. I know you take "BPA," but I didn't anticipate Jazz going with Burks when Hayward seems destined to play SG. IMO, moving Gordon back to SF negates the mismatches he creates at SG. If I'm the Jazz, I don't want Hayward even spending half his minutes at SF, and especially not against opposing starters. I think there were some options at SF who may have been very close to Burks that would have filled the main need of the Jazz and allowed Hayward to stay at SG.

But maybe we choose Kanter or Burks for another team. Or perhaps Millsap might be shopped. If not this year, maybe next if/when Kanter is ready for 20+ mins.

The one negative about drafting Burks; I'm going to have to hear idiots talk about how Hayward is only a SG.

I really am underwhelmed with Burks. The Jazz stood pat and did the expected so kind of a yawn, but I sure hope they make some kind of move. I do not want another 5 years of "we still don't know what this team can do, so we aren't making any moves" and trading away useful pieces for money until the team implodes again and forces their hand to drop good players and "retool" again.

So I voted for trade Sap. Either we put the trust in our new picks and get some players to fill in around them, or we stagnate. I think of all our players Sap is the most out of place and the most valuable asset. So let's package him, Bell, CJ, and Burks and get some picks next year and/or a solid contributor or 2.

1st off. Almost no way Burks starts this year. I think Hayward will still be our starting SG at the beginning of the season.

2nd off I'm not so sure that Burks can't spend time at PG and I don't mind Hayward at SF.

Our SF and PG positions seem a little weak right now but we'll see if something changes with those positions once FA gets started.

Didn't say that. He CAN be a SF. But where do the Jazz get the most value: an undersized SF or a SG who can post up and get his shot off against ANY SG in the league? And I don't anticipate Burks being a starter. But you hope the #12 pick would be 2-3 years down the road. Then the Jazz have 2 starters at SG vs. developing a guy like Leonard, Hamilton or Singleton at SF and having Hayward starting at the 2.

Also i think, we will possibly try to keep AK this year, otherwise we could have picked Leonard
