I've now received two private messages accusing me of being someone else (two different posters). All, presumably, because I have political views that are sympathetic with One Brow's (at least in this case). I don't know if this is an indication of this board's feelings about One Brow, in specific, and how rarely people come to his defense; or an indication of the narrow political views on this board. Or both. Either way, pretty disappointing and wasteful of personal energies.

Anyway, thought I'd pass that along.

It's a reflection of deep-seated paranoia due to rampant alt abuse, a history of equally rampant trolling on the board, and OB's extreme leftist stance on lots of issues.

Most people on these forums are either centrist or a bit conservative. One Brow (who is left of center) uses this fact to debate with everyone about everything. That rubs some people the wrong way. I personally find OB to be one of the most rational people around, even though I disagree with some of his views.

Either way, regardless of the opinion expressed or how you express it, you're gonna ruffle some feathers. I suggest you take it with a grain of salt. We need more reasonable people around, and if you feel like you have something to add, then you should do so.

I'll acknowledge I'm left of center, but I'm not extremely left of center.

Just to be clear, I'm perfectly fine with those rare occasions when I make a small comment on a social justice issue, and everyone just lets it go. The debates start when some people can't bear for a non-mainstream narrative to be aired unchallenged.
