Nitpicking is saying Hayward needs to start to take over games to take the next step in becoming elite? I never said he can't do it, I said that's his next step.

I didn't like that charge call on the pass either. I'm not sure of the exact rules, but Favors stopped completely right as he brushed up against Gortat's chest, apparently brushing him with enough force to knock the 6'11'' 240 lbs (20 lbs of nose-weight) man to the ground.

That's different than asking him to step back. Actually, what I think is that he wants Hayward to finally start being more decisive himself but he doesn't seem to be able to break out of that shell, especially during crunch time. You're the star of the team, you make things happen. That last play was very telling to say the least.

Wait what? You are complaining about his decisiveness then turning around and complaining that he took a very decisive 3 pointer? I'm confused. You want Hayward to try and take over and hit the big shot, or not take the big shot?

The position Hayward caught the ball in sucked. He was stuck in the near corner with Ingles still sitting out of bounds letting his man cut off Hayward from driving baseline. Pierce was shading his left side and Hayward had the relatively open shot, so he took it. He missed. It happens.
 
People sit here and act like Hayward hasn't put games away in the final minutes and hit huge clutch baskets. The narrative that Hayward constantly turns the ball over in big situations is so dumb. He missed one shot and everyone is freaking out about how he isn't a super-star because he just missed that 3 pointer. In case y'all didn't notice, he scored the 4 points before that that even put us in a place to have a chance to take the lead.

How does that even make sense? I could be decisive and attempt 40 3 pointers a game, decisively. The key is he pretty much disappeared at the end of the game and then comes around and wants to gain hero honors in an instant. But yes yes, let's give it a pass. Let's pretend it didn't happen. Fine.
