So if every last one of us is racist and we can't help it, why do you feel the need to point it out so damn much?
Because you are a white male.

We can work to change it. I spend a lot of time second-guessing my reactions. In particular, as an instructor in a community college classroom, I need to make an effort to treat every student fairly. Because the racism/sexism I have learned from our culture, I make quick judgments about which students are serious, capable, etc. These judgments are often wrong. However, if I never take a step back and analyze why I made a particular judgment, that judgment colors every single interaction I will have with that student for the rest of the semester. My students deserve no less.
To quote a cliche, the first step in solving a problem is admitting you have one.
I would be somewhat annoyed and confront the person if I discovered it immediately, but if he/she apologized I wouldn't even bring the manager into the picture. That's as far as it should go. A million dollars? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

I also acknowledge that not everyone is racist.
The person should be fired, thats not acceptable. But name calling isn't grounds for million dollar lawsuits.
Your depictions of what it means to be racist have been almost cartoonish in their naivete.
I went to school with a kid named Wai Suk Wang.
Believe me when I say he would have had a much happier childhood if his name was Ching Chong.
