So, the person should have been fired, but since CVS didn't do the right thing, the woman shouldn't try to encourage them to do the right thing? That's your position?

Well, if some guy wrote my name down wrong and I was deeply offended then I would probably quit going over to his house.
Comparing robbery and someone writing a name that wasn't the customers actual name is hardly comparable. It is intellectually dishonest to compare the 2, I would think you would be smart enough to tell the difference.
You mean, as opposed to the intellectual honesty of comparing a private individual with a public corporation in terms of appropriate actions, or casting a racial slur as writing the wrong name?
It should not be the responsibility of the victim to change their behavior.
