Would The Bulls Be Dumb Enough ...

I don't think the Jazz would do it. I think the Bulls might? Unless they are tired of getting the Jazz's sloppy seconds.

Bell smells, but at 30 you would be hard pressed to find a player that could contribute as much as him. Not really worth the effort of doing the paperwork.

they r already dumb to give boozer 85 million deal, but i dont think they r ignorant not to watch bell

I would do that trade for Asik. I doubt the Bulls would. Asik looked really good to me in the Conference Finals.

I think while we have Favors, Asik isnt that needed, becuz his offense is very limited. If he goes to Miami, then Miami can be unbeatable but i think we need some scoring big guys.
Btw, just a trivial info, Asik played very well a few years in Fenerbahce and turkish national team. We liked him, but noone praised him so highly, criticizing he has many weaknesses in offensive. (Also he started basketball very late, like at the age of 16) so he is very raw
My insistence on Kanter comes from this point. No turkish player who went to nba before looked so talented as Kanter. Including hedo , memo, asik and else. If they achieved almost allstar level, and Asik did well in rookie year, i believe Kanter can do much more.
But as far as i understood u like very athletic players. Thats why u dont like Kanter so much

I am not sure why so many are so keen on getting another pick in this draft.

1st round picks come with guaranteed rookie contracts. Unless that changes in the pending agreement, I am not sure why the Jazz would want to take on three guaranteed rookie contracts in a draft that really only has a handful of players they want.

Now if you could get an early 2nd round pick, that might have a greater value in this draft. That can allow you to to take a flyer on a guy like Evans without the guarantee if he doesn't pan out.

If that's the case I couldn't imagine it'd be that difficult to move the #30 for a second rounder or package it with Tomic for a future first rounder.

Either Miles or Bell for either #28 or #30 (or both) is awesome as far as I'm concerned. The question is how they match salaries since the Bulls are over the cap. They don't have any trade exceptions, do they? Hinrich?

If the Jazz can shed even more salary, this is a no-brainer homerun move.

What about any players in this draft would make anyone want multiple late first-round picks, no matter who it helps us dump. We would be better off just buying out Bell rather than taking on another rookie first-round contract.

The amount a late-first rounder is guaranteed is less than what Bell is guaranteed.

Besides that, a chance to try out one or more of Jimmy Butler, Charles Jenkins, Reggie Jackson, Darius Morris, or Nolan Smith is worth it to lose Bell. Besides that, assuming Mirotic stays in the draft, you could likely draft him and stash him, which kind of eliminates any salary concerns and crowded roster issues (at least for the moment).

I think Dallas would be willing to take on Raja Bell if it was in a package that included Devin Harris.
Both are fan favorites in Dallas and former Mavericks.
Raja Bell could actually start for Dallas, while Devin would eventually takeover for Kidd or start next to him until JK retires.

You know how absurd that is, right?
