Would this entice Chicago to trade this year's pick?

First time poster here. I wonder if we offered Chicago the expirings contracts of Jefferson and Rush for Boozer if they would part with this year's pick https://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=l9etwdu Perhaps if that was too rich I wonder if they would do it for the right for us to swap GS's pick for their pick it this year if it was lower (most likely scenario). What do you all think? I think we could absorb one year of boozer cap-wise, and I think the cap room would mean more to Chicago next year than us. They still want to bring over their Eurostar and perhaps make a run at another big piece to satisfy Rose since they essentially just dumped Deng for cents on the dollar.

Many Jazzmen have found their way back after they left. Even Howard Eisley who left in a snit, and Ostertag who couldn't get out the door fast enough both made it back...but I have a difficult time believing that Boozer will make a return.

After trading away their best healthy player and already in the middle of a losing season, why would Chicago trade away their draft pick in one of the most heralded classes ever?

I would absorb Boozer's salary if it came with their coach. I couldn't even imagine the grin on Corbin's face if we got Boozer, played ourselves out of lottery combinations and miss the playoffs as the tenth seed and he gets extended for a "strong finish".

Why would they give up a first round pick for a player they could just amnesty anyway? Granted they still have to pay him, but the salary cap is a bigger deal than actually paying him.

The team that amnesties the player pays the difference between the original owed amount and the bid that is placed by the team acquiring said player. So, let's just say Boozer makes $16 million next year and the Jazz win him with a $5 million bid, the Jazz would pay Boozer $5 million and the Bulls would pay the remaining $11 million. The cap number is totally erased from the cap of the amnestying team regardless of the bid placed.

I wasn't trying to be a dick and it seemed that you might have meant that. But I figure a little more explanation/clarification could be useful for somebody.

Flexibility. Haven't you heard that flexibility is the hot commodity this year? Flexibility, cap room and assets is what the nba is all about. None of them is very good at dribbling, or shooting or anything else related to basketball but all the GMs want them.

They can just amnesty him after the season, so they have no reason to trade him for expiring contracts. He is basically an expiring contract.
