What do we know now?

"Adrian Wojnarowski ✔ @WojYahooNBA
Cleveland doctors discovered right foot injury in exams and passed info onto Embiid reps, sources tell Yahoo. Fear is a right foot fracture."

"Cavs doctors conducted Joel Embiid physical, Bucks doctors conducted Jabari Parker's -- and two teams exchanged them, sources tell Yahoo."

Heck ya! we can bring him off the bench or have him rest the whole season. I would look into trading Kanter for another lottery pick though.

Even with the potential foot issue, his risk vs reward is still better than Exum, Vonleh, Smart, Gordon, or Randle.

Embid will not slip past 3. Even with his broken foot teams will be willing to take a chance on him and will trade up with the Sixers to get him. They won't hesitate and the Sixers will have a bidding war or that spot and I am sure the Sixers will come out on top with the trade.

If we draft Embiid at #5 you can kiss our championship goodbye.

And by championship, I'm obviously talking about the 2014 Vegas league title.

Unless someone else from the top-3 magically tumbles down to the Jazz, yes. Roll those ****ing dice. I'd be bummed if he ended up being snake eyes, but the Jazz would be playing with house money.

Obviously, this is contingent on what comes out about the severity and nature of this injury (which we don't know), but assuming that there's any real chance of recovery?

I don't think that there's any way to really get a true look at his medical issues before the draft. If he falls, it's purely medical and teams just don't know what to make of it. If that happens, you make the pick and hope for the best. There's no way to truly know how it will work out regardless of how many doctors see him and give their "expert" medical opinion. To many quality doctors saying different things to form a consensus. Talk to medical professionals you trust, and if the reward outweighs the risk. . . you make the pick.

I would take him at #5, but srs question that I really don't know the answer to...

Does anyone remember a top prospect falling for health reasons, then proving everyone wrong and dominating?

It seems like there have been some, but I cant remember anyone in particular.
