Would you rather have Hayward or Matthews?

Will not keeping Wes go down as KOC's biggest (public) mistake?

Nothing comes close (since that decision was coupled with the Al Anquisition).

A few things:
1. Cap hit for Matthews in 2013- 6.8 Million
Cap hit for Hayward- 3.4 Million.
Over the last 3 years Hayward has been a MUCH better deal. Next year is the last year of Matthews deal. He will make 7.2 million. If he is better than Hayward, he will make more than Hayward.
2. Paying Matthews what he wanted when he left would have put us well over the salary cap, costing much more than 7 million.
3. He was pretty darn quick to run to Portland and sign a cap killing contract. Screw him. If not for the jazz he would be stocking groceries somewhere.
4. I don't have to respect him or cheer for him. He plays for the Blazers. Except when they are playing Golden State, I wish that franchise nothing but eternal woe and misery. May Paul Allen go bankrupt and the Blazers be forced to move to Seattle. I may even hate them worse than the Lakers. Matthews chose to play for them. So screw him until he chooses to play elsewhere. Better be watching out for those knees. . .

Not true. Wes wanted to stay with the Jazz but they wouldn't negotiate with his agent. Both Jerry and Deron were PO'd about this, and as I said in the past, this led to the dismantling of the team, the resignation of Jerry and trading of Deron -- I got the word from an insider about Jerry feelings on this, a guy who is a close friend and played with him with the Bulls, Clifford Ray, who just so happened to belong to the same gym as me.

Wes is getting paid 5 Million... Hayward is demanding more than 10 Million... Thoughts? I personally would rather have Matthews.

10 mil is too much for Hayward and the answer depends on the roster. Hayward is more talented than wes ( court vision, ball handling, versatility, scoring) but he's not good enough to get the money he wishes for. He can shine with a complementary role at a champion roster under an experienced coaching. He just needs to be 3rd guy on offense knockin down 3's, PnR assists, rebounds etc.
