Would you take lillard if...

Hayward 2 and Lillard 1.5????

Compare their offensive vs. defensive numbers.

Please and thank you.
Gonna sound weird but I agree with you and I agree with green

There's not a soul on earth who wouldn't take Lillard over Hayward. Lillard is an amazing player who just dragged two ****-ty teams to the playoffs, something Hayward needs Gobert and Hill to do.

Yup. Lillard is one of the worst defensive players in the league, but so are James Harden and Russell Westbrook. Single-handily lifting a bad team into the playoffs is something Hayward has never done. Offensively Lillard is just extra special.

Watch him just rip apart one of the best defenses in the league here:

Hayward carried our team to a much better place than Lillard did. He also helped us win a playoff series against a really good team without much help from Gobert. I think Haywards performance against GS was better than Lillards performance against GS this year.

Lillard also had plenty of help. He had CJ Mccollum who scored 23 points per game, which is way more offensive help than Hayward has ever had.

Hayward and Lillard are the same tier of player when you compare their overall games. Lillard may have a slight edge but I think that is very debatable especially considering he is one of the worst defenders in the NBA for a starting PG. Lillard is a better flat out scorer than Hayward but I think Hayward is better at every other aspect of basketball.

I would love both of them to be on our team. Lillard replacing Hill would make our team very good.

I just watched that video.
X, mack, ingles, neto, hayward and burks all guarded lillard in the video.
Burks only for one play and played pretty good defense but lillard made a really tough shot. Same with ingles. Hayward kinda got beat but played good enough defense (plus his size) to not give lillard a good shot attempt and lillard dished for an assist.
Lillard needed screens against neto and X. (Neto played the best defense on him)
Against mack lillard got what ever he wanted with or without a screen. Blew by him super easily multiple times with mack playing the worst defense possible.

Hayward had 6 years before this one to "carry us to the playoffs" and it never happened. This last year, we made it but c'mon - Gobert became a force, Hill was awesome when he played, Diaw contributed and Johnson exceeded expectations.

Hayward carried us..... He was out best player, but Good Lord the homerism sometimes...

We had the most injured team in the NBA and made it as far as we did riding Hayward and Gobert hard. Hayward has improved and clearly showed that this year and even stepped up more in the playoffs so previous seasons are not relevant to who he is right now. Hayward was fantastic in the playoffs and was by far our best player in the playoffs this year when Gobert was out and then came back gimpy.

Also of course we had other players help and contribute to us winning. Lillard also had a lot of help from players, every team has multiple players contribute to winning.

Lillard also made Gobert look silly multiple times in that video.

Let's say that Gobert's impact is equivalent to CJ's.

Who is PDX's Hill? Favors? Johnson? Mason Plumlee is arguably their third best player. Harkless?

Favors from last year? Lol

I agree he didn't have as good a supporting cast as Hayward. And Portland didn't do as well as the jazz. So what's the point?
