Yes, Utah needs 3PT shooters. Hood is as pure as we could have hoped for. Gordon has also improved in that area. Hayward's rookie season was an outlier (low volume). He's now up to 5 attempts per game at a decent 36.4%. Rodney is almost a mirror image after a horrible start, with about the same percentage and just slightly more attempts per game. It will be interesting to see if Alec can maintain his nearly 39% 3PT shooting when he returns. And can Raul keep up his hot shooting?

I think Hood can (and should) average 40%+ on his 3's. That would put him in the top-10 among wings. Is that a star? Perhaps not. But it's definitely fringe all-star.

What differentiates Hood from most other 3-pt shooters is that not only can he get it off no matter how closely someone is guarding him but how far his range extends to shoot the shot without effort.

You may well be right, but I wouldn't guarantee it. Who knows, he might get hurt again, or something else might happen to disrupt his development. We all thought AK was going to be a top-5 player at one time but he had a continuing series of injuries, attitude problems, and just didn't develop his game
