Carlos "all about me" Boozer
Received a neg rep from LunaticWolf with the following comment:"Booz averaged a PF-League high assist rate when he was here. How is that selfish?"
A few problems with his "analysis."
First, it is not factual. Carlos never had the best assist rate among power forwards. He was consistently behind the likes of Diaw, Duncan, Lee, Odom, Nowitski and others. His best year was #5. His assist rate was very high and this is a valid measure of selfishness. However, LunaticWolf's analysis is one-dimensional. It presumes that there is one categorical indicator of selfishness and that is assist rate. When Booz talked team it always seemed to me that he was saying what he was supposed to say, with very low sincerity. His exit from Cavs was suspect (all about Carlos, low integrity), he snatched rebound from teammates to stuff stats, sitting out with minor injuries (to protect his career versus the team), etc. What would the odds have been of Stockton or Malone of missing the games Booz missed (I'm not talking about his major injuries)? Zero. I've seen and heard enough to to conclude that it was "always about me" with Carlos.
Not when you are trying to build a sustainable spurs like culture you do not take that type if risk. Raja, mark Jackson, Dsteve, booz, all harmed culture with selfishness. Jazz want Hayward Exum Burke to define a pass first team first culture and goof balls like lance would place this at risk
