I agree, but I don't think Greg would be a cheap *&^%$ for doing that. And everyone knows what I think about Miller the Younger, having coined the moniker "Greggy Boy."

I don't want to see Jefferson return, nor Millsap. I used to be a HUGE fan of Mo, but that has waned. MAYBE...MAYBE...Williams still can be a decent guy for us, if Hayward or Burks initiate the offense and Mo spots up like Fisher used to do for LA. And the same holds true for Foye. It's nice to have Burks play PG, but have another solid ballhandler - and shooter supporting him. Burks and Foye were actually pretty effective together.
I also am curious as to why Gasol would be any worse here than any oither particular big. What makes you say that? Also I do not think Sap wants to be here and if that is the case I do not want him back.

You are possibly quite right but I do not see that as being any different if Kaman, Brand and/or Big Al were signed.
Brand is like 35 years old. He certainly won't be made into the focus of the offense, or even get as many minutes per game. Big Al would be an even bigger mistake than Gasol since he'd most likely be signed to a longer contract. I think the team should look for more of a role player who can give you 25 quality minutes per game. Kanter was coming along very nicely, and I don't see a need to limit his minutes for another year.
I agree. I am just saying that I do not see Gasol as a disaster anymore than any of the other bigs listed here.
When you said Gasoft would be a disaster I figured you had a specific reason for him not working out here that did not apply to the others.
As for Brand. Howard was 31-2 last year, coming off injury and was given healthy time on the floor. I'd expect Corbin to give Brand ample time as well.

I don't really see a need to limit Kanter's minutes either, but I think that is what will happen. In my perfect Jazz world, Favors and Kanter would play 36 mpg, and Evans would get about 15-20 with another big signed as well, some back up guy like Nazr Mohammed or something. Even Elton Brand would be fine, as I think he would be good for about 20 minutes a game. At this point in his career, that's about all you are going to get out of him anyway.

I meant $5 Million/year on one player, hence why I said a free agent... But I'm not saying that's a bad thing that we won't spend money, although some of our retarded fan base will be pissed.

It is only one year though, so it's not like we are going to re sign him to the same contract. I think we ought to be focusing on our future big guys though, and just get them a back up, maybe in free agency, or maybe in the draft.
