Yes, but it could be the "rights" to the person drafted at #21.the clips won't trade Bledsoe until cp3 has signed on the dotted line. so that will be after the draft.

I agree, but I don't think Greg would be a cheap *&^%$ for doing that. And everyone knows what I think about Miller the Younger, having coined the moniker "Greggy Boy."I predict we don't spend over $5 million on a free agent, including our own. Greg is going to be a cheap ******* this offseason.
Gasol would be a disaster with Corbin as headcoach. So out of the ones you mentioned, I guess I'd keep Millsap?
Do you remember at the start of the season when the Jazz tried to play a fast-break oriented quick paced game? Do you remember how much potential for awesome that had given the team's youth core? When it worked, it was really beautiful to watch.
But it didn't, because it can only work with the second unit. And the second unit is PG-limited.
Next season we have an opportunity to truly mold the system to take advantage of what we have. But if Gasol is signed, he'll get 35 mpg, and Corbin will continue to depend on a post-oriented inside-out offense that gets the least possible return from the athletic young players.
You are possibly quite right but I do not see that as being any different if Kaman, Brand and/or Big Al were signed.
Brand is like 35 years old. He certainly won't be made into the focus of the offense, or even get as many minutes per game. Big Al would be an even bigger mistake than Gasol since he'd most likely be signed to a longer contract. I think the team should look for more of a role player who can give you 25 quality minutes per game. Kanter was coming along very nicely, and I don't see a need to limit his minutes for another year.

I wouldn't mind him being cheap this year. Paul isn't going to sign with Utah and I'm not big on this freeagentcy class, would rather wait and be big spenders with a deeper freeagentcy class. And with the jazz only having 5 guys under contract I promise they spend more then 5million.
Gasol makes too much ****ing money. He explodes, like, every potentially good move we could make.
FORGET ABOUT PAU GASOL.
