Zach Lowe tells Utah (and a couple other teams) what to do in free agency

I agree for the most part and I think this is the most likely course that the Jazz take.

But DL never ceases to surprise me, so I still think he may spin a deal or two. (Clearly this is me calling for a Favors trade. Worthless bum!)

I was explaining the phrase. I wasn't advocating it. I think we should do the opposite. Add another good player.

You add talent and worry about the other stuff later. I'm not sure in today's NBA if you can ever have too many quality wings. I don't see Green, Carroll, Harris, Matthews as chemistry killers. It's not like we are breaking up a championship squad by cutting some d leaguers and adding talent.

The team last year developed chemistry and we were bringing guys in left and right... Keep our core guys and add talent. Chemistry will come as long as we don't add aholes.

No you don't

It's like you didn't even listen to a word I said.

I never said anything about Millsap and the other D League quality guys. We have 3 wings that we really like. There only 96 minutes to go the wings. Maybe a little more if you go small, but all that's doing is taking either Gobert or Favors off the court.

Did you see what happened in Phoenix when they took your approach and just added talent (Isiah Thomas) just to add talent?

There are many other cases too.

I can almost guarantee you that if you add a wing like Green or Carroll, you will make somebody like Hood or Burks not very happy, and will probably ask for a trade.

Ypu better have an idea that you already want to trade Burks or Hood before you do it. If you really like both of them, then you have to think twice about hiring their replacement.

Cmom, snap out of it. That's some really short memory if you can't remember what just happened with Kanter.

oh ok. I am roughly 60-70/40-30 on keeping what we have over a FA. The more I talk about it the more I lean towards a FA signing.

All the rumors and DL quotes indicate that the Jazz FO is in the "Let It Bake" camp.

BTW, I was joking about the cake bakking. I want to spend. Carroll or Green would be great. I'll take the trade you propose, too. Good ideas.

This is a rare opportunity to add an infusion of talent. It should be seized.

Your take was clear to me with the bakkery mokkery.

You bake the cake unless some unreal offer comes your way. I want to see what Burks and Hood can do at the wing, at least until ASB. Signing the wing players mentioned would come with a starting role, otherwise why would they sign with Utah? So ask yourself, are you willing to move Burks or Hood for Green or Carroll? I'm not ready to do that yet, I have a feeling Burks and Hood will be better than both of those guys.

Filling 3rd and 4th string positions is still cake baking.

If AD is offered for Favs, Burks/Hood, picks and filler than you do it. Otherwise......

As Lowe says (and many of us have been saying), the jazz have a competitive advantage right now in terms of adding talent via Free Agency. When you have that advantage, and it doesn't stand to ruin future flexibility, then you do it every ****ing time.

Hood was awesome at the end of last year. But he also had chronic foot issues and chronic diarrhea. He's an injury question mark, and you don't want that getting in the way of a launch-pad year.

Jingles is a good player, but you can get better. And you should if you can.

Burks can and will play the combo guard. Minutes available.

Everything adds up to a spending spree. I'll be pissed if they don't.
