Following potential 2015 draftees

I believe this will be our guy come draft time...

- We're picking around #9, Winslow's projected around #9

- Quin is from Duke, Winslow is from Duke

- DL worked on the deal that got Spurs Kawhi Leonard - whom Winslow is most similar to in this draft

- We need a tenacious wing defensive stopper who has the potential to shoot 3's.

- Bonus: His jersey number is #12 ... which also happens to be the # of our best ever player.

The stars are aligned. I believe we'll get him.

Two days ago you were 100% sure we were trading the pick for Harrison Barnes.

As for Winslow the jazz could do a lot worse. Honestly with okafor out Winslow is going to shine in their offense and will move up in the draft. Hopefully he will push hezonja down. I keep hoping oubre explodes and moves up the board but at times he reminds me of cj miles. Some times He just doesn't care and other times he looks like an all star.

You've gotta be flexible in this league and have 'multiple options' as Dennis Lindsey puts it. If GSW hangs up the phone you've gotta have plan B, C, D...

Plus by the time the draft comes around, if Winslow is able to show us a couple more things (consistent 3pt shooting, offensive versatility), we might be better off just hanging on to the pick.

Not to mention the jazz might be able to get Barnes with out giving up this pick. Gsw won't be able to keep him unless they are going to be willing to give up tax money. Jazz could get say Winslow and or hezonja and still trade for Barnes in the off season. Give them hood and a future pick. (Maybe theirs back)

Exum, Burke, Andrew harrison
Hayward, burks
Barnes, winslow, ingles (or d. Booker)
Favors, booker
Gobert, tomic and or pleiss

Jazz could easily re-sign Barnes next year.

Yup. The only weak link in that lineup then would be the PG position with Exum not yet developing the way we want him to...

I wonder how long the FO will be patient with him? This draft is pretty even/deep all the way to #10 without a surefire super star at the top, I wonder if a future 1st (and may be Hood), can get us Mudiay or Russell????

No

If I draft a wing disruptor, there's four qualities I want him to have.

1) Energy
2) Phenomenal footwork and/or terrific length(Because Kevin Durant is potentially in the conferenec for another 10 years and this Wiggins kid might become the wing problem in case Durant goes to the senat)
3) High IQ/Awareness
4) Not be a liability offensively, because we already got the one dimensional Gobert and the 1.5 dimensional Favors and the so far 0 dimensional but soon to be 3 dimensional Exum.

How about the other team says no?

What if the team picking #3 already has a PG (Minnesota/Orlando), and both Okafor and Towns are off the board? They might not want either Russell or Mudiay, so they're left with the group of: Cauley-Stein, Johnson, Hezonja, Porzingis, Winslow.

As an example, Minny already has Dieng, so they would probably pass on Cauley-Stein. If they think that there isn't much separating that Johnson/Hezonja/Winslow group talent-wise, and they like the look of Winslow, then I think Minny could look very closely at #3 pick for #9 plus that future OKC pick.

Larry Sanders has done a similar deal with us before when they moved back to take Dieng and Shabazz - I think it's something they might consider.
