Welcome!!!

yes indeed. When you edit a post it gets tagged "last edited" with a time and date. OL, was that one of your alts? fess up, beg for mercy, make us all laugh it off, it was last year when you were searching for a new handle. And is that Vietnamese or Thai?

Haha.. nah.. it just happened to be the guy I wanted to welcome at the time since he seems like a Vietnamese so wanted to make him feel welcome.

So, the mystery deepens. . . . .

yes, there are a lot of forums that require some kind of long period for vetting newcomers.

It looks to me like this one has been a "sleeper cell", well in the jargon of cold war spies and terrorists, meaning someone who just comes in and waits for a long time to establish some "normality" in the perceptions of folks round about, so that when "activated" it can operate seamlessly to achieve it's long-planned objective, say like blowing up the city water supply or power plant. . . . .

So after months, almost a year, suddenly this "visitor" with the same name as that new JF member sends a bunch of ads to a lot of us?

I think this is a malicious attack on our site. Calling all mods. . . .

Hahaha.. Yeah.. if anything, my welcoming him made him go 'silent' for a while before starting to send out those messages so people don't suspect that he's a spammer.

Well, JazzInsider has pointed out that there is no one in our site management team who doesn't have a day job and can really pour huge efforts into fixing stuff in here, which basically is an appeal to our rowdies to please just don't rock the boat. . . .

I've noticed that my computer gets slowed down a lot when I come into JazzFanz, and have considered just not coming here. I've long suspected some serious viral infection to be present. But I don't know anything about it, really. I'm not a computer specialist, this is just a convenient outlet for my social instincts or drives, few though they may be, which can fit in with the occasional moments I can sit down.

So, anyway, it really looks suspicious when you get some hot girly pics. . . . gratuitously. . . .in your mailbox. We use a filter that just won't allow extreme stuff, and this is just below that radar horizon. Designed to evade specific filter settings but enough to maybe interest some guys. I think opening such mail is a bad idea, probably a way to spread a virus or something like a cookie designed to obtain access for advertisers.

I hate pop-up ads on my computer, too.

Is there a chance you are surfing the internets on a 486DX2/66? Please advise. I mean, if so, this might be your problem.

If that's the case I have a drop in Pentium overdrive processor upgrade that could speed things up for him. I'd have to dive into my PC boneyard to find it but it's there somewhere.
