Kanter 30 Pts and 16 Rebs... And Now the Rest of the Story...

Where they will lose in 4 or 5 games to Golden State...

Yes, OKC is now 12-9 with Kanter in the lineup, but they've been **** against good teams. With Kanter, they're 3-8 against >.500 teams (wins v.Tor, v.Chi and @Pho) and 3-7 against playoff teams (wins v.Tor, v.Chi and v.Bos). They've also played 12 of 21 of Kanter's games at home.

it is not about being with kanter or without kanter. It's about how okc has so many injuries. After Ibaka and Roberson with Adam's hurted hand OKC lost their best d players. Defense is not about one player it's about team and Kanter at least doing 1 or 2 block against team like hou,mem vs...

You are brilliant you should start a thread with all of your thoughts in one place.

Maybe you missed my earlier post, but Kanter is statistically the worst rim protector among NBA players who've played 20+ games and faced 5+ shots per game at the rim. Dead last with OKC, and second last with Utah. This despite playing on two teams with above average per-possession defenses (per basketball-reference.com) that happen to feature elite rim protectors buoying up his stats (i.e. Gobert, Favors and Ibaka are also sometimes within 5 feet of a player shooting near the rim when Kanter is within 5 feet of that same player). He's terrible defensively, no matter how you try to rationalize his shortcomings.

Also, with the same roster minus just Kanter, OKC beat Atlanta and lost to Portland by only 3.

lost to hou today by 3 too. If this is your statistic logic, man you are far from reality and i don't argue that with you

Yeah...

Take a look at this link: LINK.
Among players who've faced 5+ shots at the rim per game (based on the sports tracking definition) and played at least 20 games this season, Enes Kanter on the Thunder and Jazz is last and second last respectively in opponents' field goal percentage at the rim. Rudy is still in first.

Disclaimer: My filters are self-serving; these cut-offs are completely arbitrary. Just a fun exercise/illustration.

This is interesting. I checked this stat from another site and it was around %51 for Enes till Ibaka went out. %51 definitely isn't that bad but it seems that Enes wasn't able to keep that percentage without Ibaka. He desperately needs to be surrounded with defensive players.

Also, regression to the mean...

What what ? What is the thing that you are trying to defend also Kanter wanted to trade after all. LOL. You can't accept that to yourselves so you'll become haters. Even before that he was STARTING OVER GOBERT. Except just ONE game. Even SNYDER AND JAZZ KNEW KANTER WAS BETTER THAN GOBERT. KANTER WANTED TO TRADE because he couldn't improve his game with that ****ty organization so he left. That's it and deal with it you all while Enes is at superstar level with Russ. You are angry because you did nothing about it. Jazz did not even get an average player for his trade. PATHETIC. Okur likes Kanter also. Ask him he was his coach ;)

I'd neg this moron, but it looks like he's been their before.

OKC is 14-10 since they traded for Kanter.

Utah is 15-8 in the same time-frame.

Now ask if Utah wants to pay a lot of money for Kanter...

Kanter's little brother seems upset here.
